KUALA LUMPUR: Mobile content and applications service provider AKN Messaging Technologies Bhd said it has signed an exclusive agreement with Cyberplanet Interactive Co Ltd to provide Java games for the local GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) market.

Thailand-based Cyberplanet Interactive, established in 2000, develops and produces mobile. AKN MTECH said the new service involving eight new games would complement its existing services, distribution channels and partners.

Local mobile subscribers can look forward to these Java games early next month, and more such games throughout next year, AKN MTECH said in a statement.

The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status company said it would market the games under its own labels, mainly eBuzz4U, as well as through the various labels of its mobile network partners.
